Sankhu YMRC

YMRC Sankhu organized a Photo and Book Exhibition during one of the great festivals that takes place in Sankhu. The main objective of the exhibition was to preserve and raise awareness about the heritage of anicient places and monuments in Sankhu. The exhibition lated for 6 days of the 8-day festival. There were nearly 35 pictures and around 1,000 visitors to the exhibition. This is the first exhibition of its kind in Sankhu. All of the pictures were taken in Sankhu. YMRC youth were provided digital cameras to document the event. YMRC Sankhu also presented a book exhibition during the festival. All of the books were written by people from Sankhu. The book exhibition wanted to give power to the voices of the people from Sankhu. This exhibition gave people information about the poor condition and missing statues in holy and historical places in Sankhu. YMRC Sankhu got good feedback and response from this initiative. This program provided inspiration to YMRC Sankhu to organize its next initiative.
